Twin Lakes
Twin Lakes in one of five, beautiful alpine lakes which are located in the Mammoth Lakes Basin approximately 3 miles from the shop. They are planted throughout the season with 10" to 12" Rainbows as well as trophy-sized "Alpers" trout raised nearby. There are also wild Browns and Brookies in these lakes.

Fishing from small boats, float tubing, and some wading are possbile. Boats can be rented on several of the lakes and the shop has float tubes, waders and fins for you to rent.
Upper Owens River
The Upper Owens River which feeds into Crowley Lake is located approximately 20 minutes from the shop. It provides excellent nymphing and dry-fly fishing all year round and produces some Browns and Rainbows over 20" during the Spring and Fall spawns.

Easy access and no casting obstructions make for some great fly fishing, not to mention some great views of the Eastern Sierra.

The Upper Owens has approximately 8 miles "as the crow flies" and probably twice that with all the twists and turns of the river bank shown in the aerial photo left.

Bait fishermen are allowed only in the lower 2.4 miles below Benton Crossing part of the year.
